Nikki is a multi media artist and curator, whose practice is often inspired by found objects, words and natural things. Creating new narratives, she takes discarded materials on new journeys, developing one off installations, sculptures, fine art print editions, artist books & poetry.
Nikki is exhibiting in Unspoken, at St Mary in the Castle, Hastings as part of Coastal Currents 2019 with the group Now We are 7. More info here
Nikki's work can be seen as part of the Shape Open 2019 at the Nunnery Gallery, Bow, London. More info here
Research and the process of making are fundamental to the work, where rules and repetition support obsessive & meticulous techniques, allowing ideas to invade and evolve.
Materials are explored, repurposed and sometimes destroyed as Nikki develops work about female identity & rites of passage, entrenched in found stories and personal experiences to reveal a disrupted or reimagined version of the truth.
