A visual artist exploring stories that have been waiting to be told

about me

Nikki is a visual artist whose practice considers an ambigious relationship with storytelling and the autobiographical, challenging what is fact and what is fiction, where ritual, rules & repetition are fundamental to the process. The work is conceived by a desire to find some order out of chaos & uncertainty.

She works from her studio on the South Coast where she plays with a range of materials and ideas - working on multiple ideas in parallel - amoungst a store of collected found and used text and books.

Nikki also runs the artist group Now we are 7, is an active member and organiser of events at the Bluemonkey artist Network based out of the Towner Art Gallery in Eastbourne, as well as a contributor at various talks and events in the South East.

Playful and intuitive, there is always a story waiting to be told.
